You need a square of paper and sharp scissors. Origami paper works nicely.

Fold in a third and then flip the paper over.

Fold the remaining third in so it looks like this.

Draw this pattern, or a close approximation. It does not need to be precise. Variations alter the heart pattern but won’t ruin it.

Cut along the 4 lines you drew. You will be left with this strange looking piece.

Put snowflake under a heavy book to flatten it out. Ta-da!
